So why are we swaying towards this particular Midwestern trip?
Well, first of all we’re landing in LA and leaving 23 days later from New York. That alone draws a certain line across the states.
Furthermore we know we have to see Las Vegas, surely no trip to the US would be complete without visiting that city? And after that? Well, we’d really love to see Yellowstone, which pushes us up north by quite a bit. And with Mount Rushmore sitting directly east it seemed a natural fit to pretty much stay at that latitude and hit Chicago and Niagara Falls as the east coast crawls closer.

We know we’re missing out on so many cool places, but whatschagonna do eh? We really can’t see everything in 23 days, so… we’ll just have to travel up and down the coasts next year.

To keep track of all the places we’re being told about we went ahead and created this Coast-to-Coast ‘09 google map. Right now the map’s only a few hours old and looks pretty empty, but it ought build up as we integrate all our wacky ideas into it. If you spot some places we’re missing we’re open for suggestions.
