This weekend I attended a “game jam” session, which is about making a game in 48 hours. Or more like 20 hours, once you get past installing software and gathering/coordinating a group of people and, oh yeah, sleeping!
But we did it, me and seven others. It wasn’t always the most easy process, a couple hard lessons were taught. But I learned some really cool things about managing, producing, game design and more so I went home damn pleased. And then, shock and surprise, it turns out we went on to win one of the two awards given each year. Yay for us. Links and details to follow, but I just wanted to share the good news.

Man this weekend ROCKED - congratulations to US! Prototyping games in a short and constrained time-period like this really stand in sharp contrast to our daily work cycle; eventhough we often prototype there as well, it just can’t come close to developing a game in 2 days! What a rush
